Turning Pens

Late last year I started turning pens on the lathe.  I started with a combo pack and quickly made my first few pens.  My wife still cherishes the first pen I made even though I'm a bit embarrassed about it.  "I got better."  Once I got the hang of it I invited my coworkers to help me out by making custom pens for them for the cost of the materials.  It was a good deal for them and let me try pens I never would have tried on my own.  I've lost count of the pens I've made, but here are a few pictures.

  1. Beautiful workmanship on all of your pens. The cartridge pen you made for me using purple heart wood is my very favorite pen of all time - comfortable to hold, writes smoothly, and a beauty to behold - I get a lot of comments.
